What is Community?

This community comprises of educators who wish to advance the teaching of all students particularly Aboriginal and Torres regardless of their previous mathematics learning experiences and diverse backgrounds. Community members are encouraged through professional conversations in the Forum to provide resources helpful in building the knowledge, understanding and practice of the teaching mathematics in this area.

What's in the Community?

There are four main areas of the 'Make it count with Indigenous Learners' community activity:

  • Forum - the hub for all interactive discussions
  • Starting Points - stimulus for discussing pedagogies with Indigenous learners
  • Learning - community online professional learning
  • Resources - essential resources and weblinks

How do I engage with other members in the Community?

There are two ways online to engage in the community activities primarily through involvement in the Forum and participating in professional learning events.
